I am a French native from Bretagne (Brittany) who has been teaching French for 20 years (Michigan State University, Rennert, Columbia University). Over the years I have been teaching students of all ages and levels, tailoring my classes to suit the diverse needs and interests of students. I believe that language classes can be both fun and rigorous, and I'm committed to prove it to you.
My primary goals are to foster a sense of success, a love for learning foreign languages and getting familiar with other cultures. We will be working together immersing ourselves in the language from day one. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn the basic foundation of the French language, or a more advanced student looking to bring your French to the next level, I can help you accomplish your goals.
The classes will focus on aural and oral activities, mostly listening and speaking. The classroom is one of the few places where students can practice their French, a welcoming and inclusive environment where taking risks is encouraged. Reading and written activities will be done mostly at home. Homework is designed to review what we have already worked on in class and to help you communicate in French when we meet.
I am looking forward to working with you and will make every effort to give you a wonderful experience.
